French department center– NANTERRE – PARIS REGION – FRANCE
Competition winner! July 2019
We are very proud to announce that we have been selected to transform the Hauts-de-Seine building following the 2018 consultation. An intelligent renovation for a new impetus.
Offering a mixed-use development program including 41,000 square meter of offices and 300 square meter of activities featuring restaurants, cafes, sport facilities, a daycare and co-working areas embedded in 5,000 square meter of greenery with balconies, landscaped roofs, greenhouses and an interior garden, the highly vegetated project will bring more nature in the urban landscape at the foot of CBD district, la Défense.
With the renovation of the building, we aim to reconnect the administration center with the rest of the city.
The transparency of the facades engages in a dialogue with its environment enhanced by the first storeys’ open plan and the vast balconies while extending greenery from the ground to the roof. A project that enliven the space to encourage a diversity of audiences and promotes uses.
The ecological commitment of Nouvelle AOM leads us to revisit this heritage of the 70s in the original urban layout imagined by Le Corbusier and André Malraux for the Twentieth Century museum.
With respect to the existing building, the operation will transform the administration center into an innovative and sustainable life and work place capable of initiating the uses of tomorrow.
